Last night was the dart league's annual singles tournament, and so I went out and decided to compete against the 'B' players a tier above me. The results were abysmal, with only one leg won, but not as embarrassing as one might think as with the exception of one leg I either could have (or possibly should have) won. I'm behind on experience, but I can throw at their level. Not too shabby for a guy with less than a year of darts under his belt!
I have also been feeling a swing back upwards in terms of confidence. I think that is something that will ebb and flow, but have been seeing some positive results to an adjustment I have made in my grip, not the least of which is the fourth 180 of my life you see pictured here. Sadly, no not done in a game, but still happy to throw one!!
I have a feeling there are more to come! If I have learned anything though is that I naturally play up or down to the level of competition and that playing against good and focused players does good things for me..
Also, last time around i mentioned a contest that was running on the SEWA forums, and well believe it or not it looks like I am actually in the running to win a set of Erik McVay darts. I'll post an update if i win!
OK, and now off to Valentine's day lunch with my amazing wife! See you all next time!
