Welcome to The Best Lack All Conviction Blog
This blog is not about anything other than the things I want to write about.
For a long time this blog tried to be about darts and may yet again talk about darts
but for now it is about whatever suits my fancy.
If that entertains, engages or inspires you, then I guess we are in good company.
My sister also has a blog that is written by her pet border collie.
Callum the Border Collie ands his Autistic Human
Please following her page and showing her some support. She has been having a tough time since our mother passed due to cancer.
Incredible! Stupendous! Amazing! Yes, this past Tuesday I stepped up to the oche on fire true believers! A searing bolt of molten tungsten cast from dart heaven. I could hit whatever I wanted. I could do it all. Well, all except win that is.
How strange and sad and yet a wonderful thing about darts that I have played twenty times worse and walked away with a win.
It has been some busy and tumultuous times, of ups and downs in my darting life, including a miserable but brief stint where I decided to quit darts. I still might quit the Thursday nights however, but that is more because I have started to feel that I have been playing a lot of darts, but have been letting my practice habits slack off.
Not all the news is so dramatic and in fact some of it is pretty interesting, including the possibility that I might be having my interview with George Silberzahn quoted in an upcoming darts book!
Last but not least, there is still the logo competition which you can find here on the Darts Nutz forum:
Design a logo and win a set of McCoy Stealth darts from puredarts.co.uk!!
I am using the McCoy stealth myself and will vouch for them being a great dart. Huge thanks to pure darts for donating the prize!!
Well I leave you all now, as I am off to sleep as I allow the paint to dry on my darts. yes, I painted my darts, as it was the only way to get green darts. If I am ever good enough to have darts named after me, you can be pretty sure they will be green.
That is a very very long way away though. If ever. One step. One throw at a time. Enjoying the journey.
